Power PageMaker Scripts
How many times Desktop Publication Professionals find it frustrating to work with Adobe PageMaker which has now been replaced with Adobe Indesign. Find the description for each script below and the installation instructions.
- Apply Master To
- Applies master pages to selected no. of pages or a range of pages.
- Copy Page Attributes
- Applies page attributes like Grid, Guidelines or Objects to any no. of pages or a range of pages.
- Justify Indents
- Turns selected text in a story into an indented text. In short it turns your text into a properly indented text, by examining the longest paragraph in a list of selected paragraph decides the indent size of that and then applies that indent to the paragraph and Justifies the text.
- Mirror All Pages
- How many times have you done this? Turning your PageMaker pages in to mirror pages for publication manually! Seems like a nightmare? Doesnt it? Well your nightmare ends here. Run this script and it will take care of Mirrorring all your pages for printing or publication and yes it can turn them back to what they were. HAPPY!
- Multitude Page Numbering
- Put your page numbering place holder objects; for eg. a normal page maker Square Box on every location in a page in the same order which you want them that should be Y<->Z or Z<->Y direction and run the script it will generate, remove and even give you the freedom to format the page numbering that were generated by this script. Please read the Readme file with the attached ZIP for more details.
- Power Guides
- Just select an object and use this script. It allows you to generate guides across selected object with a plethora of options.
- Resize Group
- This script will resize all the items in a group including any text blocks, which will both be resized and have the font size and width of the text adjusted accordingly.
To install these scripts extract the contents of the ZIP file and copy the extracted files to your PageMaker installation directory. The scripts should be in this directory (\PM65\RSRC\USENGLSH\PLUGINS\SCRIPTS) which would be located inside your PageMaker installation directory.
These FREE and MIT/GPL Licensed scripts will help you make your Desktop Publication with ease. Read the installation and usage in the attached zip file.
